How to play games on Discord
Discord has 599 built-in games, called Activities. You start one inside a voice call, text channel or DM, and everyone there can join. Nothing to install.
On a computer or in the browser
- Join a voice channel (or start a call in a DM).
- Click the rocket (Activities) button in the call controls at the bottom.
- Pick a game, or search for one by name, and start it.
- Friends in the call click Join on the game to play with you.
In a text channel or DM
- Click the apps button next to the message box.
- Choose a game from the list, or type its slash command (for example
/wordle). - The game posts a card in the chat that friends can join from.
On iPhone and Android
- Join a voice channel.
- Tap the rocket icon in the call controls.
- Pick a game. Phone and desktop players can play together.

What are Discord Activities?
Discord's name for games and apps that run inside Discord itself. Everyone in a voice call, text channel or DM can join the same game, with nothing to download.
Why don't I see the Activities (rocket) button?
Usually your role in that server lacks the Use Activities permission. Ask a server admin to turn it on, update your Discord app, or try in a DM or another server.
